  • i'm new to pilates - what can i expect

    Firstly, welcome! Reformer pilates can be described as a “therapeutic full body burn” which everybody can enjoy and benefit from. it’s a resistance based workout performed on a reformer bed through a wide range of movements.

    We want to make sure that you feel comfortable no matter your ability so, we’ve made all of our classes open level and can be modified with ease.

    Start with the beginner classes to get into the flow, and explore from there.

  • What are the benefits of reformer pilates?

    It Is Easy on the Joints - making it suitable for those with injuries or joint pain

    It Offers a Full-Body Workout - specifically targeting your deep core and pelvic muscles

    It can Help With Flexibility - building longer leaner muscles

    It Can Help Improve Your Posture - utilising on the core and spinal muscles to stay connected

    it can build strength and muscle growth - through low impact movement and time under tension

  • how should i prepare for a class?

    please arrive around 5 minutes prior to the class starting to ensure you are on time and ready to begin.

    grip socks are recommended and can be purchased at the studio. alternatively, please ensure you are wearing socks for hygiene reasons

    water is available but please bring your own bottle if you wish to fill up

    please wear clothes which are comfortable to move in. try to avoid tops which are extremely baggy so the instructor can check posture and form

  • i'm injured - can i still join?

    Yes - but please let your instructor know if you have any injuries or concerns prior to the class as movements can be modified to your needs. however, please always consult a doctor prior to joining a class if you have any long term injuries or illness.

  • i'm pregnant - can i still join?

    congratulations and yes - pilates is certainly safe during pregnancy but please make your instructor aware if you are pregnant so we can modify your class. again please consult your doctor before joining a class for confirmation of your needs.

  • are private classes available?

    indeed. we will be offering classes on a 1-1 and 1-2 basis which will be tailored to your specific goals or needs. please email us at hello@bilates.co.uk for more information.

  • Can i cancel my class?

    of course, classes are non-refundable but they can be rescheduled up to 24 hours before your class, which you can do via the link in the confirmation email.

  • is parking available?

    yes, we have two spaces outside of the unit which are available to use. There is also an area to park if you turn into the industrial unit and drive to the bottom right of the estate.
